MicroRNA 6859-1 (MIR6859-1) is an annotated human microRNA (miRNA), part of the large family of small (~22 nucleotides), non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression through base-pairing with complimentary sequences in messenger RNAs (mRNAs), leading to mRNA destabilization, cleavage, or inhibition of translation.
