MicroRNA 7154 (MIR7154) is a predicted RNA gene classified as a microRNA, a short non-coding RNA involved in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. As typical for miRNAs, it is transcribed as part of a primary transcript, processed to a precursor and then to a mature miRNA that functions by inhibiting translation or stability of target mRNAs through the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). To date, there is no published disease association, validated biological function, mechanism of drug interaction, or role as a biomarker specifically attributed to MIR7154 in the literature or major biomedical databases.
