MicroRNA-protein interactions encompass the molecular relationships between microRNAs (miRNAs) and proteins, particularly those involved in gene regulation. miRNAs primarily function as post-transcriptional regulators by binding to complementary sequences on target messenger RNAs (mRNAs), leading to mRNA degradation or translational repression.
