Target intelligence / Profile preview
microRNA-regulated genes are genes whose expression is controlled by microRNAs (miRNAs), a class of small, non-coding RNA molecules. miRNAs regulate gene expression primarily at the post-transcriptional level by binding to complementary sequences on target messenger RNAs (mRNAs), leading to mRNA degradation or inhibition of translation. Aberrant regulation of microRNA-regulated genes has been implicated in numerous diseases.
