Molecular classification
Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA)

Overview

MIR600 host gene (MIR600HG) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on chromosome 9 and is also referenced as FLJ22161, GL012, C9orf45, and NCRNA00287[2][3]. It is not protein-coding and its transcript acts as the precursor or host transcript for the microRNA miR-600. While its exact biological functions remain undercharacterized, associations with diseases such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, glioma susceptibility, and Alzheimer's disease have been reported[2]. There is currently no evidence to suggest that MIR600HG itself serves as a therapeutic target, nor are there known direct drug interactions or established biomarker or safety data.
