Target intelligence / Profile preview
Mitochondrial ribosomal protein S21 pseudogene 7 (MRPS21P7) is a processed pseudogene located at chromosome 16q12.1, derived from the functional MRPS21 gene that encodes a component of the mitochondrial ribosomal small 28S subunit[2][10][7]. As a pseudogene, MRPS21P7 does not produce a functional protein and is not implicated in known biological processes or human diseases[1][3][2]. Like other pseudogenes, MRPS21P7 may exist in the genome as a non-functional copy and has no confirmed role as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or disease gene[3][2][10].
