Target intelligence / Profile preview
MTND1P36 (Mitochondrially encoded NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase core subunit 1 pseudogene 36) is a nuclear-encoded pseudogene and does not produce a functional protein. It shares sequence similarity with the mitochondrial MT-ND1 gene, which is a subunit of Complex I of the mitochondrial electron transport chain and has important roles in mitochondrial energy production and disease. However, MTND1P36 itself does not participate in these cellular processes and is not implicated in disease or therapeutic targeting[6][2].
