Target intelligence / Profile preview
Mitogen‐activated protein kinase kinase kinase 19 (MAP3K19) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that functions as an upstream regulator in the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascade. It activates both ERK and JNK pathways and plays a role in cell survival, especially under oncogenic stress conditions. It is overexpressed in lungs from patients with COPD and displays varying expression patterns in different cancers.
