Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase 4 (MAP4K4) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that belongs to the Ste20 family of kinases. It plays a key role in several cellular processes, including cell migration, proliferation, adhesion, cytoskeleton dynamics, and signal transduction within the MAPK signaling pathway. MAP4K4 acts as an upstream regulator within the MAPK signaling cascade, regulating cytoskeleton dynamics, cell motility, and insulin sensitivity.
