Monocyte chemoattractant protein 3 (MCP‑3/CCL7)

Target
MCP‑3/CCL7
Molecular classification
CC Chemokine, Chemokine
01

Overview

Monocyte chemoattractant protein 3 (MCP‑3), also known as CCL7, is a chemokine belonging to the CC subfamily. It acts as a potent chemoattractant for multiple leukocyte types, including monocytes, eosinophils, basophils, dendritic cells, neutrophils, NK cells, and activated T lymphocytes. It plays important roles in normal homeostasis as well as pathologies such as cancer, autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammation, and infection.
