Monopolar spindle protein kinase Mps1 (TTK) is a dual-specificity serine/threonine and tyrosine protein kinase that plays a crucial role in the spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC), ensuring accurate chromosome segregation during mitosis. It is essential for recruiting SAC proteins to unattached kinetochores and inhibiting the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C).
