MORN repeat-containing protein 2 (MORN2) is a protein-coding gene found in humans that contains MORN motifs (Membrane Occupation and Recognition Nexus repeats), which are short motifs found in multiple copies in certain proteins and may be involved in a variety of biological processes. MORN2 is predicted to play a role in cell differentiation and spermatogenesis, and is primarily localized to the acrosomal vesicle and nucleus. Currently, there are no established drugs targeting MORN2, nor is it classified as a canonical therapeutic receptor, enzyme, transporter, or similar pharmacological target. Diseases associated with MORN2 include Lemierre's syndrome and intracranial abscess, but there is limited evidence for direct mechanistic involvement in these conditions[2][3][5].
