Mouth and throat mucosa

The mouth and throat mucosa refers to the mucous membrane lining the inner surfaces of the oral cavity and pharynx. This tissue consists of stratified squamous epithelium with underlying connective tissue, with variable keratinization and thickness depending on location and mechanical demands.
