MSRB3 antisense RNA 1 (MSRB3-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on human chromosome 12q14.3, transcribed in the antisense orientation relative to the MSRB3 gene[5][7][8]. Its precise biological function is not experimentally characterized, but lncRNAs such as MSRB3-AS1 typically regulate gene expression through various mechanisms, including chromatin modification, transcriptional interference, or mRNA stability of adjacent genes[2]. MSRB3-AS1 has several recognized aliases, including RP11-230G5.2 and LOC105369187. There is currently no evidence that MSRB3-AS1 serves as a direct therapeutic target, nor are any drugs, biomarkers, or disease roles specifically associated with it. Its molecular family is "long non-coding RNA (lncRNA)." Biological roles for similar antisense lncRNAs in regulating the expression of neighboring protein-coding genes have been documented, but experimental evidence for MSRB3-AS1 itself is limited[1][5][7][8].
