MT-ND1 pseudogene 34 (MTND1P34) is classified as a nuclear-encoded pseudogene in the human genome, located on chromosome 1. It bears sequence similarity to the mitochondrial MT-ND1 gene, which encodes a core subunit of the NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (Complex I) in the mitochondrial respiratory chain. However, as a pseudogene, MTND1P34 does not produce a functional protein and lacks established biological or therapeutic relevance. It is not a recognized drug target, receptor, enzyme, or transporter, and there is currently no evidence linking this pseudogene to biological functions, disease mechanisms, or the action of any drugs[2][6].
