MT-ND6 pseudogene 14 (MTND6P14) is a nuclear-encoded pseudogene that shows sequence similarity to the mitochondrial gene MT-ND6 (NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 6), which is involved in the mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I. MTND6P14 does not encode an active protein product and is not considered a functional gene or therapeutic target. Pseudogenes typically arise through genomic duplication or retrotransposition and do not produce functional gene products. There is currently no evidence for any biological activity or disease association specific to MTND6P14, nor is it under investigation as a drug target or biomarker.
