MT-ND6 pseudogene 6 (MTND6P6) is a pseudogene based on sequence similarity to MT-ND6, which encodes one of the protein subunits of mitochondrial Complex I (NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase). Unlike the functional MT-ND6 gene, pseudogenes like MTND6P6 do not encode functional proteins and are typically not transcribed or translated into biologically active molecules. As such, MTND6P6 is not involved in mitochondrial electron transport, energy metabolism, or any established biological or pathological processes, and it is not considered a therapeutic target, biomarker, or molecular entity of pharmacological interest.
