Target intelligence / Profile preview
MTFR1 pseudogene 1 (MTFR1P1) is a non-protein coding pseudogene found on chromosome X and related to the functional MTFR1 gene, which encodes a mitochondrial protein involved in mitochondrial fission. MTFR1P1 itself does not encode any functional protein, is not implicated in disease mechanisms, and is not considered a therapeutic target or clinically relevant biomarker. Its only function is as a genomic remnant related to MTFR1.
