Multikinase

Multikinase refers to a class of enzymes or inhibitors that target multiple kinases simultaneously. These kinases are enzymes that catalyze the transfer of phosphate groups to specific substrates, playing crucial roles in signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, differentiation, survival, and other vital processes. Multikinase inhibitors are small molecules designed to inhibit several membrane-bound and intracellular kinases at once. By blocking multiple signaling pathways simultaneously—such as those involving VEGFRs, PDGFRs, RET kinase, BRAF kinase—multikinase inhibitors can disrupt cancer cell proliferation and survival more effectively than single-target agents.
