Multiple Tumor Cell Signaling Pathways

Molecular classification
Intracellular signaling networks
01

Overview

Elemene, particularly β-elemene, targets multiple tumor cell signaling pathways simultaneously, including MAPK/ERK, PI3K/Akt/mTOR, NF-κB, JAK/STAT, and Wnt/β-catenin. This multi-targeted approach disrupts the complex network that allows cancer cells to survive, leading to induction of apoptosis, promotion of autophagy, cell cycle arrest, inhibition of multidrug resistance, and suppression of EMT, ultimately overcoming chemoresistance and exerting broad-spectrum antitumor effects.
