Multiple urogenital tract pathogens refers to a diverse group of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa, that infect the urinary and reproductive systems (StatPearls, 2023). Common bacterial agents include Escherichia coli, the primary cause of urinary tract infections (UTIs), as well as Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, which are major causes of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) (CDC, 2021). Because this term encompasses a wide variety of distinct biological entities rather than a single molecular target, it is generally classified as a disease category or indication in therapeutic contexts.
