Multivesicular body subunit 12B (MVB12B) is a protein that acts as a component of the ESCRT-I complex, a heterotetramer involved in regulating intracellular vesicular trafficking, particularly the sorting of ubiquitinated proteins from the plasma membrane to endosomal vesicles[2][8].
