Target intelligence / Profile preview

Myeloid Inhibitory C-type Lectin-like Receptor (CLEC12A)

Target
CLEC12A
Molecular classification
C-type lectin-like domain (CTLD) superfamily, Type I transmembrane protein, Receptor
01

Overview

CLEC12A is a type I transmembrane protein and an inhibitory receptor expressed on myeloid cells. It belongs to the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily and plays a key role in regulating immune responses and maintaining immune homeostasis. It negatively regulates myeloid cell activation and inflammation by interacting with ligands like MSU crystals and recruiting phosphatases to its ITIM domain.
