The myeloid precursor cell differentiation pathway describes the progressive development of blood cells of the myeloid lineage from multipotent hematopoietic stem cells within the bone marrow. Through defined stages—common myeloid progenitors and subsequent restricted progenitors—cells differentiate into multiple types including granulocytes, monocytes, erythrocytes, and platelets.
