Overview

Myeloma-associated antigens are a group of proteins or peptides specifically or preferentially expressed by malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma (MM). They can be presented on the surface of myeloma cells via HLA molecules and recognized by T-cells, making them attractive targets for immunotherapy. These antigens include cancer-testis antigens and lineage-restricted markers like BCMA. Therapeutic strategies include vaccines, T-cell therapies, and antibody-based treatments. Their expression profile helps minimize off-tumor toxicity while maximizing anti-myeloma immune responses.
