Myoma-associated antigen-expressing cells are cells, primarily found within uterine fibroids (leiomyomas), that exhibit a distinct antigenic profile compared to normal myometrial cells. These cells, including subpopulations of smooth muscle cells (SMCs), vascular SMCs (VSMCs), and fibroblasts, differentially express various proteins like CRABP2, PRB, TGFBR2, and proliferation markers such as Ki-67 and MCM proteins.
