MYL11 plays a crucial role in maintaining muscle integrity during early development and is localized within muscle tissue, cytosol, and lysosomal membranes[1][7][8]. It belongs to the EF-hand protein superfamily and is encoded by the MYLPF gene located on chromosome 16 in humans[1][3]. There are no established roles as a therapeutic target, nor are there known interacting drugs, mechanisms of action, biomarker utility, or safety concerns reported in current literature.
