This pseudogene is found on chromosome 19, distinct from the location of the functional gene on chromosome 18[1][2]. Pseudogenes like NDUFV2P1 may occasionally regulate their parent gene's expression at the RNA level, but no direct regulatory or pathological role is established for NDUFV2P1[2]. In summary: NDUFV2P1 is not a gene of therapeutic or diagnostic interest and has no biological function, disease association, or drug interactions. It should not be confused with the functional NDUFV2 gene, which encodes a mitochondrial enzyme subunit with major bioenergetic and clinical significance[1][2][5].
