Overview

NDUFA5P4 (NADH:Ubiquinone oxidoreductase subunit A5 pseudogene 4) is a genomic pseudogene related to the NDUFA5 gene, which encodes a subunit of mitochondrial Complex I in the electron transport chain[5]. NDUFA5P4 itself does not produce a functional protein. While some pseudogenes are known to modulate gene expression through RNA-mediated mechanisms (such as acting as regulatory noncoding RNAs or microRNA decoys), there is no specific evidence that NDUFA5P4 has such a functional role. It is not involved in any characterized molecular pathways, human diseases, or drug interactions[3][5].
