Natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 3 ligand 1 (NCR3LG1)

Target
NCR3LG1
Molecular classification
B7 family, Type I transmembrane protein, Receptor ligand
01

Overview

Natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 3 ligand 1 (NCR3LG1), also known as B7-H6, is a ligand for the natural cytotoxicity receptor NKp30 found on natural killer (NK) cells. It is a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the B7 family. Unlike many B7 family members, B7-H6 is not constitutively expressed in normal tissues but is frequently upregulated in tumor cells, making it a potential target for cancer immunotherapy. Upon binding to NKp30, it triggers NK cell activation and promotes the lysis of target cells expressing the ligand.
