CD244 (2B4, SLAMF4) is a transmembrane receptor expressed on NK cells, T cells, and other immune cells. It interacts with CD48 and regulates immune cell function, providing either activating or inhibitory signals that modulate cytotoxicity, cytokine secretion, and intercellular interactions. Dysregulation of CD244 has been implicated in cancer, autoimmune diseases, and chronic infections.
