Target intelligence / Profile preview
The Natural Killer Group 2 Member D (NKG2D) receptor is an activating receptor expressed on NK cells and some T cells. It recognizes stress-induced ligands on target cells, triggering cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion. NKG2D plays a crucial role in immunosurveillance and is targeted by bispecific antibodies in cancer immunotherapy.
Recruits and activates NK cells and other cytotoxic lymphocytes to tumor sites, enhances antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC)
