Target intelligence / Profile preview
Nck-associated protein 5 (NCKAP5) is a cytoplasmic protein that interacts with the SH3-containing adaptor protein Nck and is implicated in the regulation of microtubule dynamics, including microtubule bundle formation and depolymerization. It is predicted to be active at microtubule plus-ends and is expressed in a wide range of human tissues, including brain and peripheral organs. NCKAP5 is not currently recognized as a therapeutic target, and no drugs are known to specifically modulate its function.
