Target intelligence / Profile preview
NCKAP5 intronic transcript 1 (NCKAP5-IT1) is a human gene that encodes a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) and is classified as a non-protein-coding transcript. It is termed "intronic transcript" because it originates from a region within the introns of the NCKAP5 gene. There is currently no evidence that NCKAP5-IT1 has a well-characterized biological function, associated disease role, or documented pharmacological modulation. Most research and available functional data refer to the protein-coding NCKAP5 and its paralog NCKAP5L, not to NCKAP5-IT1 itself[1][3][6].
