NDUFV1 divergent transcript (NDUFV1-DT)

NDUFV1-DT (NDUFV1 divergent transcript) is an uncharacterized long non-coding RNA gene mapped to chromosome 11, close to the protein-coding NDUFV1 gene locus. It is referenced in some gene annotation databases (e.g. GeneCards[3][5]), but there is no evidence of protein product, druggability, or direct involvement in disease. The protein-coding gene at this locus, NDUFV1, encodes a 51 kDa subunit of mitochondrial Complex I and is therapeutically relevant in mitochondrial disease and neurodegenerative disorders[1][2][4][6]; however, NDUFV1-DT itself does not share these functions or disease roles.
