The outer membrane protein complex (OMPC) of *Neisseria meningitidis* group B is a multi-protein assembly located in the outer membrane of the bacterium. This complex plays a crucial role in nutrient transport, structural integrity, and immune system interactions. It is also a key target for vaccine development due to its surface exposure and immunogenic properties. Key components include porins (PorA, PorB) and the Type 2 Serotype Antigen (STA). The OMPC is a lipoprotein-lipopolysaccharide-protein complex. Vaccines based on OMPC, particularly Native Outer Membrane Vesicles (NOMV), have been successful in eliciting protective immunity against serogroup B disease.
