Nerve transmission in spinal and supraspinal pathways refers to the complex processes by which sensory and motor signals are transmitted between the body, spinal cord, and brain. These pathways involve a network of neurons, neurotransmitters, and receptors that enable sensation, movement, pain perception, reflexes, and higher-order modulation of neural activity. Ascending tracts carry sensory information from peripheral receptors to the brain, while descending tracts transmit motor commands from the brain to effectors in muscles.
