Target intelligence / Profile preview
Neurobeachin pseudogene 6 (NBEAP6) is annotated as a pseudogene in the human genome, predicted based on homology to the functional neurobeachin (NBEA) gene[4]. Unlike NBEA, which encodes a large, brain-enriched scaffolding protein involved in synaptic targeting and is associated with neurological and metabolic disorders[2][3], NBEAP6 does not produce a functional protein and is not considered a molecular target. There is no evidence for therapeutic relevance, molecular activity, or disease association of NBEAP6. The annotation as a pseudogene indicates that information on receptors, molecular family, biological function, and drug targeting are not applicable.
