The Neuropeptide Y5 receptor (NPY5R) is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds neuropeptide Y (NPY), peptide YY (PYY), and pancreatic polypeptide (PP). It is involved in regulating energy homeostasis, fat accumulation, cell migration and invasiveness, and seizure modulation. NPY5R is considered a therapeutic target for obesity, cancer metastasis, and epilepsy.
