Neuropilin-2 (NRP2)

Target
NRP2
Molecular classification
Single-pass type I membrane protein, Receptor
01

Overview

Neuropilin-2 (NRP2) is a transmembrane receptor protein involved in axon guidance, angiogenesis, and lymphangiogenesis. It acts as a coreceptor for class III semaphorins and VEGFs, playing roles in cardiovascular development, tumorigenesis, inflammation and potentially in aspects of cardiovascular disease. NRP2 interacts with VEGFRs and Plexins to mediate downstream signaling. It is implicated in cancer progression/metastasis and its expression may be upregulated in metastatic tumors, making it a therapeutic target.
