Neurotensin Receptor 3 (NTS3)

Target
NTS3
Molecular classification
Type I receptor
01

Overview

Neurotensin receptor 3 (NTS3), also known as sortilin, is a type I receptor that binds neurotensin and other ligands. It plays diverse roles in cellular function, including cell migration, insulin secretion, and cell adhesion. NTS3 is implicated in various physiological processes and pathological conditions such as cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders. Unlike NTS1 and NTS2, it is not a G protein-coupled receptor and requires propeptide cleavage for activation.
