Target intelligence / Profile preview
Neutrophil infiltration refers to the diffusion or accumulation of neutrophils—phagocytic white blood cells—into tissues or cells in response to a wide variety of substances released at sites of inflammatory reactions. This process is a hallmark of acute inflammation and plays a central role in both host defense and tissue injury. While essential for innate immunity, excessive or dysregulated neutrophil infiltration contributes to tissue damage in various diseases.
