Overview
NY-ESO-1 is a cancer/testis antigen (CTA) with restricted expression in normal tissues (primarily testis) but aberrant re-expression in various cancers. Its high immunogenicity and tumor-specific expression make it an attractive target for cancer immunotherapy, including vaccine approaches, adoptive cell therapy, and bispecific molecules. Expression correlates with worse overall survival in solid tumors.
