NY-ESO-1, also known as Cancer/Testis Antigen 1B (CTAG1B), is a highly immunogenic tumor-associated antigen that belongs to the cancer/testis antigen (CTA) family. It is normally expressed only in embryonic testis and not in adult somatic tissues, but aberrantly re-expressed in various cancers, making it a target for cancer immunotherapy.
