Overview

Niban apoptosis regulator 3 (NIBAN3), also known as BCNP1 or FAM129C, is a protein-coding gene found in Homo sapiens, with a prominent expression in immune tissues, especially B cells[3][6][7]. NIBAN3 is a member of the Niban protein family and shares homology with NIBAN1. Experimental functional characterization is limited: some evidence from mouse models and interaction partner analysis suggests a possible role in B-cell development, receptor signaling, and immune regulation, but knockout mouse data do not clearly confirm its biological function[1][4][10]. NIBAN3 is not currently classified as a therapeutic target, and there are no drug development programs or approved therapies directed against it. Its relevance as a disease biomarker, therapeutic safety profile, or drug interactome has not been established to date[3][6][10].
