Target intelligence / Profile preview
NIMA-related kinase 4 pseudogene 3 (NEK4P3) is a human pseudogene, annotated in gene databases such as HGNC, NCBI, and Ensembl[4]. By definition, a pseudogene is a non-functional segment of DNA that resembles a protein-coding gene but generally lacks coding capability due to mutations, deletions, or truncations. NEK4P3 is related to the protein kinase gene NEK4, whose active product is involved in cell cycle regulation and DNA damage response[7][6], but NEK4P3 itself does not encode a protein and has no established biological, pharmacological, or clinical significance.
