Target intelligence / Profile preview

NK Cell Lectin-like Receptor Subfamily C Member 1 (NKG2A)

Target
NKG2A
Molecular classification
Receptor, C-type lectin receptor, Type II transmembrane protein
01

Overview

NKG2A is an inhibitory receptor primarily expressed on NK cells and some T cell subsets. It forms a heterodimer with CD94 and recognizes HLA-E on target cells, delivering inhibitory signals that suppress immune responses. Its blockade is being explored as an immuno-oncology strategy.
