Target intelligence / Profile preview

NK cell lectin-like receptor subfamily C member 1 (NKG2A) (NKG2A)

Target
NKG2A
Molecular classification
C-type lectin-like receptor, Inhibitory receptor, Type II transmembrane protein, Heterodimeric receptor
01

Overview

Other names
CD159aKLRC1NKG2-ANK cell receptor ANatural killer group 2 member A
02

Mechanism of action

Immune checkpoint inhibition by blocking the interaction between the NKG2A/CD94 heterodimer and its ligand HLA-E, thereby preventing inhibitory signaling and restoring the cytotoxic activity of NK cells and CD8+ T cells.
