Consequently, these treatments are evaluated based on their ability to restore complex physiological processes rather than their affinity for a single molecular entity (EMA, 2021). Safety considerations for these therapies often focus on long-term integration, potential for tumorigenicity, and immunological compatibility between the donor material and the recipient.
