NOC3 like DNA replication regulator (NOC3L) is a protein-coding gene encoding a human homolog of yeast Noc3p. It is involved in initiating DNA replication and is predicted to enable RNA binding and chromatin binding activities. NOC3L acts upstream of biological processes such as fat cell (adipocyte) differentiation and may be required for adipogenesis. It is located in cellular compartments including the mitochondrion, nucleolus, and nucleoplasm.
